Also known as the rubber plant, it is part of the ornamental fig family.
It gets it's name from the white latex flowing through it's veins, once used to make rubber
It is a relatively easy-to-care for plant and is quite forgiving for non intentional neglect.
Water weekly throughout the warmer months if the soil is dry to touch and water less frequently during the cooler months.
